Lisa was being transferred.  A wiz at handling different accounts, she deserved to be recognized.  A caricature by—tatah—me was just the thing.   When working from photos, the caricature always turns out to be quite gentle, but that’s only appropriate for such an occasion.  Congratulations, Lisa!  Thank you, Maura. Rick was moving to another market, so, of course, he got a Hilden Caricature to mark the milestone.  I’m sure he got some other stuff, too, but this caricature must have hit the spot:  his cigar boat is strapped to the Wienermobile.  Tricky engineering, but, hey in a caricature you can do anything. All contents [...]

Their husbands are executives in an international company and so they move around a bit. They talk about London, Rome or Rio as if these were neighboring suburbs.  Everybody speaks a handful of languages—fluently.  I drew thirteen of these cosmopolitan women, who came from India, Australia, Denmark, Germany, France, Argentina, Belgium, Britain and the Faroe [...]

Speaking of morale.  Bob was moved to another market or another town…I never quite get those interoffice details.  No matter.  You can tell, he’s important.  The company feels it’s important to take note of accomplishments and milestones in a person’s career. This builds morale not only among those who are celebrated in this way, but, [...]

Rose H., a refined lady d’un certain age, owns a second home in the Rockies somewhere and has been volunteering at the Sundance Film Festival in Utah for many years.  I mention this to let you know that Rose knows a lot of people in the theater and film world and the arts in general.  [...]

Promoting products at Kraft Foods, Tom N. apparently beat the competition in the field of hot dogs.  Kraft champions Oscar Mayer Wieners, a wiener that’s personified by its own sexy car. Am I allowed to say that?  And am I allowed to put forth the theory that if you associate your product with a sexy [...]

Donna G. is retiring from her many years at Topco and looking forward to her pool, many good books, and her six grandchildren frolicking around her in the back yard.  This drawing just flowed out of my pens, such fun.  Caricatures by Katherine Hilden are now a tradition at Topco for people who are retiring.  [...]
