There’s no need for anyone to be this beautiful!  And smart and charming…

Face painters and caricaturists were set up on the balcony.  Great view! This was in the Indiana Roof Ballroom at 140 W.Washington. The place to see and be seen.

I worked in full color, which was a treat for both me and the guests.  Everybody was beautiful and felt beautiful. A glittering event. I asked one of the  women what her favorite color was.  She said, glitter.

It was a privilege to be invited to participate.  People stood in line to be drawn and often got drawn by more than one caricaturist.  I, as happens so often, stayed overtime, by—how shall I put it—popular demand.  My pleasure!  Thank you, all.

And thank you, Drew.————————————————-

I wasn’t the only one working at this party.  There were two work stations.  One for me, drawing caricatures of the kids.  The other, for the kids .

The parents—brilliant!—had bought wooden frames, with glass and backing.  While I was drawing away, each child was busy decorating her/ his frame with all sorts of glittery and whimsical stuff.  The dining room table was just right for this project.  What fun!

I drew the kids in color and then, with time remaining, some of the parents subjected themselves to the caricature experience, but for them I worked in line only, because it does go a little faster. But, for adults, the humor is all there in b/w.

Thank you, Patricia!——————————————————
