If I lived in or near Milwaukee, the Anaba Tea Room on Capitol Drive would be a regular hang out for me.

As it is, I’ll have to wait for another party in that lovely space.  I was up there three weeks ago for a baby shower with twenty  guests and I drew all of them in three hours and in color.

I had come early and was able to enjoy the tranquil setting and learn all about that fantastic plant the Chestnut Vine, which encircles the light well in the center of the building.

Could it be that Milwaukee showed its highest cultural achievements at the Wisconsin State Fair Grounds?  It was the site of a company picnic where I drew some memorable consumers of beer and bratwurst.
